Their father never told them he built the Stick Shed.
We had some welcome and very important visitors at the Stick Shed a while ago.
Shirley Turner (nee Green) and her brother Neville Green came and saw their father, Bert’s, handy work for the very first time.
It was only a couple of months before via a friend they found out their father Bert Green led the team that built the Stick Shed.
The Stick Shed was an early project for Bert who also built bridges around regional Victoria before starting his own prefabricated homes business which at its peak employed over 120 people and built and delivered houses throughout Central Victoria from their base in Bendigo.
What was their reaction? In our visitor’s book both left the note, “amazing dad”!
